Charming, old style restaurant, local food store and café Iloisen Pässin Maalaispuoti is run by the family and located in Parikkala, in the old village shop of Koitsanlahti along road Kuutostie.

Satisfy your hunger with generous portions of burgers, made from locally sourced, high-quality ingredients. For those who are less hungry, there are for example savory pies.

You can enjoy your coffee with bun or organic ice cream. The pastries are made by us or at a local bakery. There is also nice selection of soft drinks from small producers and beers from local breweries.

The local food and gift shop offers groceries, everyday products and wonderful souvenirs. The selection includes products from over 70 different small producers and artisans.

You can stop by for a meal, a coffee or shopping. Warmly welcome!

Menu

We love local food and source all our ingredients as close as possible. All the meat we use comes from Parikkala and the fish from lake nearby. The hamburger buns are made by local bakery Parikkalan Pika-Pulla and the mayonnaise is made by Öljypuu in Lappeenranta.

All burgers include country fries and water as a drink.

Other drinks, such as sodas, beer, cider, wine for a separate fee, as well as dips. Food portions can also be ordered to go. For large groups we recommend order in advance.

Children’s portions are half the size of an adult portion.

Information about the dishes

The menu changes according to the seasons and the availability of local ingredients. For example, there are long breaks in the availability of bison meat. This list only includes dishes that are most definitely available.

All dishes are also available gluten-free (we cannot guarantee 100% gluten-free), almost all without milk and egg. You can replace the country fries with a salad.

The coffee we serve is “Iloisen Pässin coffee” and roasted by Lehmus roastery in Lappeenranta. “Good moods” brewed tea is also from Lehmus Raoastery.

Everything in café is lactose-free, and many pastries are made gluten-free.
